STARKVILLE, Miss.— The nation’s top canine athletes made a splash at Mississippi State in April during the 2025 American Kennel Club Diving Dogs Premier Cup, which will be televised nationwide this weekend.
The event, presented by Cosequin® and Nutramax Laboratories Veterinary Sciences, Inc., airs nationally on ESPN2, 7 p.m. CT Sunday [May 4].
Held April 5 at The Junction in front of ̫ӳ’s Davis Wade Stadium, the high-energy competition drew top dogs from across the country to showcase their skills in the AKC Diving Dogs Premier Cup’s three events: Distance Jump, Air Retrieve and Hydro Dash.

During the event, Dr. Todd Henderson, an ̫ӳ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine alumnus and president and CEO of Nutramax Laboratories Veterinary Services, enjoyed the competition and event held on the grounds of his alma mater.
“I’m a 1992 graduate of Mississippi State, and I would never be here without the education that I got at the vet school,” he said. “…This was something that we could bring to the university, students and people of Starkville to come and enjoy.”
Henderson is a member of the ̫ӳ Foundation Board of Directors and serves on the CVM Dean’s Council. His company Nutramax Laboratories Veterinary Sciences, Inc. develops animal health products with a mission to improve the quality of life for people and their pets.
